 Slumber Party

When is the last time you had a slumber party? Well, for me it was this past weekend. It wasn't exactly my friends sleeping over....it was seven (7) year old girls who are friends of my 7 year old cousin! She had a birthday slumber party. I'm sure you can imagine how it went, but for all the unsuspecting people out there, here is the rundown. We went roller skating, we went to Chuck E. Cheese's, we came home watched a movie and ate popcorn, we did hair, nails and makeup, we had a fashion show and I was the emcee, we played hide and seek then we made ice cream sundaes. Now as a reminder, through all this there is constant screaming and laughing and once we got back to the house, you can add Velvet (my dog) barking, running/stomping and a guitar playing to the list of mind blowing noise...it was truly something you would see in a movie! A little after midnight I could finally hear a pin drop. The following morning the girls woke up to a delicious chocolate chip pancake breakfast. The birthday girl opened her gifts and the playing and yelling resumed until around noon, that is when the parents came to pick up their little "angels".
